First Congregational Church was first established in Santa Cruz in 1857. In the 1950s, the church moved to its current location on High Street.
The church offers two services on Sundays, both at 10:30am. One is a traditional choir service, the other a jazz and gospel service.
First Congregational Church is inclusive and invites anyone to attend. Its policy on inclusiveness states, "We welcome all who seek to walk with God as we have come to recognize in the life and teaching of Jesus Christ, denying no one full participation in the life of this church on the basis of race, ethnic origin, worldly condition, age, gender, sexual orientation, or any other particular element of his or her total humanity."
The church offers a limited number of parking spaces to UC Santa Cruz students. There is space for the community to rent out for various events.
Located on Beneva Road in the Gulf Gate area, St. Andrew celebrates diversity, united in a common passion of the journey of faith. It believes in sharing the Gospel in action and outreach within the community. To this end, St Andrew is home to 12-step meetings each week and actively supports the All Faiths Food Bank.
North Congregational Church, founded in 1849, is part of the United Christ of Church association. It serves the local community as well as surrounding towns of Stoneham and Burlington. It offers religious education programs and classes for children and a music program. Services are held every Sunday at 10am. Visitors are welcome to attend.
The First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury focuses on bringing its members together through worship every Sunday. The congregation is involved in many outreach programs, helping the homeless locally and nationally. It also offers many educational programs for youth, women and all members of the church society.
Founded in 1730, First Church of Christ Congregational serves the Bedford Community with a variety of programs and groups, including youth programs, childcare, study groups, religious education courses and more. Services are held every Sunday morning, and are aired on the Bedford Religious Access Station on TV. The church performs baptisms, weddings and funerals, and also has a library and a music ministry. Visitors are always welcome.
Founded in 1734, Tewksbury Congregational Church was the first meeting house of Tewksbury and, together with the town, celebrated its 275th anniversary in 2009. The current building, located across from the Town Common at 10 East Street, was constructed in 1922. Known for its strong religious education, mission/outreach, and music programs, TCC is currently experiencing a surge in new membership, under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Goodell and the Board of Ministries. The music program includes five different choirs, including cherub and junior choirs for children and an adult bell choir. Highlights of the mission/outreach program include mission trips to Mexico, support for local non-profits, and coordination of the town’s Zero Waste Day annual event. Tewksbury Congregational Church welcomes youth, regardless of age or religious background, to join the tuition free, open and on-going enrollment in the education program. Acton Congregational Church is a member of the United Church for Christ, and has around 820 members. As a Protestant community, the church offers youth and adult programs in Christian education. There is an adult and children's choir, and the church uses a restored pipe organ built in 1888. Sunday worship is at 8:45am and 10:45am.
