6-4-3 DP Athletics is a baseball and softball organization offering a wide variety of related services for players ages eight to 18. These include instruction, camps, clinics, tournaments and league play. Instruction is offered on a one-on-one, small group or team basis. 6-4-3 DP Athletics competes with 17 travel teams from its Baseball Academy. The organization also fields a college team that participates in the summer Sunbelt League, a fall recreational league and various tournaments throughout the year.
The Plymouth Ice Center provides year-round ice skating, rentals and classes at its indoor facility. This center features three rinks of two sizes, one Olympic and two professional. This facility also has 16 locker rooms and two community meeting rooms. Wayzata and Armstrong high schools and Providence Academy play their home ice hockey games at the arena. The ice can be rented for groups by the quarter hour. The facility is a public-private collaboration between the city, Wayzata School District, Providence Academy, Life Time Fitness, local hockey associations and the state of Minnesota.
The Spring Hill Recreation Center is McLean's popular community-wide swimming pool, fitness center, kiddie camp, martial and arts and yoga center. It has just undergone a $1 million renovation that included a new heating and air conditioning system. The centerpiece of Spring Hill is a heated indoor 25-yard by 25-meter swimming pool and two one-meter diving boards. The center now has softer surfaces for the exercise class rooms and new equipment in the weight and aerobics room.
