Sports Teams in Illinois

Opened in 2003, this 69,000 square-foot facility includes a fitness center, gym, indoor track, exercise studios, outdoor terrace and multipurpose room. Gymnasium and room rentals, including gym or audio-visual equipment, are available for $30 to $100 per hour.  The rec center also houses a pro shop and food concessions.

The Balance Institute of Gymnastics (BIG) provides gymnastics classes for boys and girls ages 3 - 18. It offers 10-week sessions throughout the school year and 4-week sessions during summer. Discounts are available for siblings. There is also an open gym schedule that changes seasonally, so check the website for details. Some of the athletes at BIG go on to compete in the Illinois State Championships.

Diamond Instincts Baseball & Softball Academy offers both baseball and softball lessons, clinics and travel and house league teams. They teach all aspects of the game offering individual, small group or group instruction. They are the only academy in Illinois using the Fungo Man baseball machine. They also have cage and machine rentals.
