The Sportsplex of St Charles is a 62,500 square foot indoor sports facility. The building is climate controlled and is home to camps, tournaments, practices, corporate outings and birthday parties. Not only does the complex boast two indoor soccer fields but also a soccer store, concessions, dance studio, and locker rooms. Many classes and discounts are available to members of the Sportsplex. The Energy Volleyball Club at the Energy Sports Complex on W. Howard St. is aimed at boys and girls from eight to 18 years of age. Traveling and non-traveling volleyball leagues are provided with volleyball facilities at this facility. Linda Snyder is the owner of the complex.
The club teams have more than 300 players, and teams have won bids to national competitions. In addition, volleyball clinics for children, aged 12 and under are offered, and private as well as group training, is available. The facility includes a snack bar that is open during competitions.
Open between Memorial Day and Labor Day, this pool is a great place to cool off on those hot summer days and spend time with family and friends. Open since 1958, this family-owned, not-for-profit, member-operated facility offers tennis and swimming for all ages. In addition to recreational swimming, the pool features swim lessons, lap swimming and a competitive swim team. Visitors may bring in their own food and drink (no glass containers) and picnic on one of eight tables. Grills are available as well. New Vision Athletics is a home-based business that organizes amateur sporting leagues and events throughout the Lake Bluff area, including baseball, soccer, football, field hockey, lacrosse and a children's summer camp program. Offerings also extend to hikes, scuba diving and other unique athletic activities.
