Mathnasium, The MATH Learning center is a math tutoring center for kids. It offers instruction for kids that focuses on filling in any learning gaps that may exist and helps to boost their confidence in their math and general learning abilities. Programs are offered to students in kindergarten to 12th grade.
The Porter and Chester Institute was founded in 1946 and has been located at 30 Waterchase Drive since 2006. It's an accredited technical school offering career training in automotive repair, computers, electronics, HVAC/R, administration, dental and medical assisting, and practical nursing. The institute's employment specialists will assist students in finding jobs after graduation, from help with résumés to accessing a database of employers who hire Porter and Chester graduates. Federal aid is also available to qualified students.

Gene Pino, a professional jazz and classical guitarist who has studied at the Berklee School of Music, has been providing lessons to aspiring guitarists in his home studio since 1992. In addition to jazz and classical guitar, he teaches electric and acoustic guitar, and electric bass. His home studio has a large song library and is equipped with digital recording equipment. Students are taught music notation, technique, chords, picking, scales and music theory and progress at their own pace.
Nutmeg Community TV is an independent non-profit organization that provides television programming for three public, education and government channels reaching viewers in eight Connecticut towns. It also offers free training for independent producers and production crews.
