Boston Living Center is the largest community center serving the HIV/AIDS population in New England. This nonprofit offers meals five days a week, regular counseling services, a computer classroom, career counseling and holistic care. The Boston Living Center has been serving the HIV/AIDS population for over 20 years. They offer a safe place for people to get the support they need to not only cope with their HIV/AIDS, but to learn to thrive with it.
The Boston Living Center provides a number of services to improve their clients' quality of life. Members can attend courses on nutrition and mind/body spirit and join the book club, walking club, or one of the many support groups. Try your hand at art at the beading class or the drawing and paint class offered in the art studio.
One of the many support systems offered at the Boston Living Center is the Bridges for Life daily morning peer support group. No sign-up is necessary and members are encouraged to come as often as they would like. The group focuses on a different subject area every day that affects the lives of HIV-positive people.

Founded in 1966, the Hingham Public Library contains an impressive collection that features fiction and non-fiction books, reference materials, periodicals, audiobooks, graphic novels, children's and teen literature, CDs and DVDs. Built in the 1950s, the First Baptist Church in San Carlos has an intimate congregation of less than 100. Surrounded by neatly manicured lawns and large oak trees, the church regularly rents out the facility for both American and Spanish congregations, as well as to Catholic charities, who have held adult day services for more than 30 years. The church provides Sunday School for youth groups and mass for all comers every Sunday at 11 a.m.
WMRC first aired in 1956 and is a source of local news for residents in Milford and the surrounding towns. The station also covers professional sports and plays music.
St. John The Evangelist Parish is an Episcopal church. The members are committed to worship and preaching and reaching out to the wider community and world. It has adult education and Bible study groups, where people gather to learn and share in the name of the Lord. St. John's also takes pride in its ministry to children. It has a youth group program that promotes learning and growing together by taking field trips, playing games and bringing faith into their everyday lives. Services begin at 8am and 10am on Sundays.
Millican-Mackenzie Post 273 offers support services to veterans and the surrounding community. The post hosts numerous events and community services including golf tournaments, charitable events and more. Anyone looking to adopt a pet should visit Salem's Northeast Animal Shelter, a non-profit agency that does not euthanize animals. The shelter, which opened its new facility in 2008, takes in adoptable dogs and cats surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them, as well as strays found by local officials or rescue groups. In addition, the shelter transports from other states hundreds of homeless dogs that would otherwise be euthanized due to overpopulation. Northeast also rescues satos, mixed breed dogs found wandering the streets of Puerto Rico. Dog and cat adoption fees include spaying/neutering whenever possible. The shelter also participates in community outreach through its Humane Education and Senior Visitation programs.
Located in the historic center of Natick, the First Congregational Church is considered one of the oldest in town. The Victorian Gothic style red brick building was built in 1651 and moved from South Natick to its current location in 1799. It was named to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1977. Rev. Victoria Alford Guest and Rev. Summer F. Shaud preside over the church, which runs its own non-sectarian pre-school.
Since 2001, Pickering Wharf Marina has provided summer and protected winter docks for power and sail boats up to 55 feet, and transient docks for boats up to 12o feet. Located in the heart of historic Salem, the full-service marina features 100 slips, clean showers, heads, laundry facilities, 30- and 50-amp electrical service, as well as telephone and cable television hook-up. For more than 50 years, the community center has been in the historic Ensign Thaxter House in downtown Hingham. The center offers more than 90 different special events, classes and activities. Hingham Community Center is a non-profit that relies primarily on membership fees and donations to keep running. Classes include gymnastics, preschool and dance for kids, as well as various classes for adults, such as ballroom dancing and CPR. There are also summer and vacation activities such as ceramic and painting workshops.
