Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church offers contemporary religious education for grades K through 8. Each grade level features a well-rounded Catholic curriculum that includes doctrine, sacred scripture, liturgy and preparation for Sacraments. Religious education booklets that include a course outline for each grade level are available in the church's vestibule.

The church also offers an adult education component for parents of children preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Parents attend five weekly evening classes for two hours. The classes complement the teachings offered for first communicants. Parents are encouraged to think about how they are living the Sacraments today.

Finally, children ages 5 and up who attend the 10:15am Sunday mass can leave to hear the gospel at their level. Teachers walk with them to O'Brien Hall and meet with them to read, share and discuss the gospel of the day, returning afterward to the church for the remainder of the service.
