The Great Plains Family YMCA is an association of individuals of all ages, ethnic groups and religious affiliations. The organization offers summer day camps for children between the ages of 7 and 12. It also provides various recreational activities, including field trips, swimming, hiking, fishing, and arts and crafts. The Great Plains Family YMCA s aquatics center provides classes in aqua aerobics, arthritis aquatics and swimming. The organization s child development center helps to develop the social, physical, emotional and intellectual skills of children. Its youth programs include indoor wall climbing and roller skating. The Great Plains Family YMCA also offers cycling, aerobics, kickboxing and tai chi classes. Founded in 1986, the organization is located in Weatherford, Okla.
