MI Girls' Lacrosse Club runs girls' lacrosse teams on the island. It offers elementary, middle and high school programs divided into Division 1, 2 and JV teams. Because lacrosse is not a sanctioned FIAA school sport, MI Girls' Lacrosse is operated at the club level. The club's board is made up entirely of parent volunteers. As team and equipment fees can be quite hefty, the club offers scholarships for families who can prove a need for financial assistance.
Hot Yoga of Kirkland is a yoga studio that offers classes in hot matha, hot power and hot yin yoga. Special discounts are available for new students, including a 10-class pass for $10. Private instruction is also offered to both individuals and groups.
Olympic Cascade Aquatics is a swimming team and program. The organization is a coach-owned USA Swimming program and uses various pools and facilities in the area to train and practice, including the Mary Wayte pool, the Mercerwood Shore Club and the Mercer Island Country Club. The OCA offers team programs as well as training and practice groups for swimmers in all age groups and skill levels, including individual training, beginner instruction, technique work, stroke training and more. Tryouts are done by appointment.
Mercer Island Youth Soccer Club is an organization that caters to athletes under the age of 19 by offering a safe and fun environment in which to grow while learning the skills of soccer. MIYSC is a branch of Eastside Youth Soccer Association and consists of four programs that cater to different age groups.
