The Plymouth Ice Center provides year-round ice skating, rentals and classes at its indoor facility. This center features three rinks of two sizes, one Olympic and two professional. This facility also has 16 locker rooms and two community meeting rooms. Wayzata and Armstrong high schools and Providence Academy play their home ice hockey games at the arena. The ice can be rented for groups by the quarter hour. The facility is a public-private collaboration between the city, Wayzata School District, Providence Academy, Life Time Fitness, local hockey associations and the state of Minnesota.
Rising Star Gymnastics offers classes and programs for children ages 2 to 18. The gym was founded in 1988 by Pavel and Elena Miligoulo, former elite gymnasts of the Belorussian and USSR National Gymnastics Team. The facility includes a colorful and fun preschool gym, as well as a main gym for more advanced gymnasts. Rising Star is also available for private birthday parties.
The Tonka United Soccer Association is a nonprofit athletic organization providing boys and girls of all ages an opportunity to engage in recreational and competitive leagues and activities. Running 10 weeks from May through mid-July, the organization sponsors matches and leagues for youths K-12, offering them the ability to grow, mature and become better citizens while engaging in friendly athletic competition.
