Established in 1961, Prince of Peace Care Center, formerly known as the Ellendale Nursing Center, provides a range of nursing care solutions for individuals. It is a 55-plus-bed skilled care facility that offers support services for patients suffering from Alzheimer s disease. The center specializes in the areas of wound care, cardiology, and respite and hospice care. It provides treatment solutions for individuals with cancer, developmental disabilities, diabetes, neurological disorders, mental health problems, and neuromuscular and pulmonary diseases. The center additionally offers a variety of rehabilitative services, such as physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies. It provides transportation, dietary consultation and counseling services. The center has received the Step One Quality Award from the American Health Care Association. Prince of Peace Care Center is owned and operated by the Benedictine Health System, which owns and manages more than 40 long-term care facilities throughout the United States.
