Founded in 1901, Christ Church offers a wide variety of activities, including five different choirs, Sunday school for children, a young-adult group, book groups, a Working Mother's Fellowship and a seminar series, among other programs. The Episcopal Youth Community, for high school students, also leads two yearly trips, including one to the Taize monestary in France.

Sharing a building with Christ Community Church on Lindberg Boulevard, just West of Baptist Church Road, this small, Christian private school offers its students a "classical" education in Latin and the writings of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Math is taught in using an unusual Asian model. Its students have scored an average of 29 on their ACTs for the last five years, and the last five graduating classes have had an 100% college acceptance rate. Students take yearly trips to colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.
This Jewish worship center exists on lakefront property just off of Sheridan Road in Glencoe. North Shore Congregation Israel was founded in 1920 as a branch of the Classical Reform Sinai Congregation but split with Sinai four years later. Led by Rabbi Steven S. Mason, NSCI is a progressive Jewish community that offers a place of worship and Jewish education for North Shore families. NCSI also provides a Jewish education program for children newborn through four years.
All Saints' Episcopal Church is located at the intersection of Scarborough and Old Briarcliff Roads.
The church, designed by Richard Upjohn, dated 1854, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The beautiful stone church's parking lot is located just past the entrance on Scarborough Road. In the rear of the church, there are entrances to the church office, Sunday school and parish hall, as well as a courtyard with benches.
The Sunday school classrooms are adjacent to an outdoor playground and recreation area.
Unitarian Universalist Church is nestled on a thickly wooded lot along Cedar Lane, and the many glass panels incorporated in the church's design seem to invite in the surrounding nature. Like other Unitarian Universalist churches, Cedar Lane seeks to promote values including social justice, peace, reason and environmental stewardship. Founded in 1953, the church features a choir with about 50 members and a full-time music director, religious education for youth and adults, and a popular farmer's market in the parking lot on Saturday mornings.

Valley Community Church is a non-denominational Christian church led by Senior Pastor Danny Hall. The church offers two worship services on Sunday mornings, one at 9 a.m. and the other at 10:45 a.m., as well as children's Sunday school and youth services. The church provides many opportunities for the members of it's congregation to stay connected, including small group Bible study, men's and women's ministries, the TNT middle school group, the VISION high school group and the New Vision Counseling Ministry. The St. John Fisher Catholic Church features a chapel, a beautiful garden and a large school. Located at the corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Crest Road, the parish is composed of more than 3,000 families from throughout the area. The pastor of St. John Fisher is the Rev. Msgr. David A. Sork.
Faith Lutheran Church & School has a calender of events for every age, ranging from Girl Scout Troop meetings to mixed volleyball team events to forest service volunteering. The Faith Lutheran School is for 2-year-olds through eighth-graders.
Our Lady of the Rosary is a large catholic church on Collier Parkway in Land O Lakes. The grounds are massive, and include two chapels and a children's day care. The well-manicured exterior gives way to the same within. Large ceilings typical of churches are found throughout the building.
Set on a sprawling campus, the Sarasota Baptist Church provides a variety of offerings for community members, including regular services, Bible study, choir, orchestra and ministries for all ages. Sarasota Baptist provides a Parent's Morning daycare program from Tuesday through Thursday. It also hosts a dinner every Wednesday: $5 for individuals, maximum of $14 for an entire family, regardless of size.
