Since 1995, the professional and friendly staff at Apple Tree Day Care & Preschool have been caring for children. Whether your child is six weeks old or twelve years old, Apple Tree provides a warm and nurturing environment for your most precious cargo. Housed in a welcoming red wooden house, there are bright and spacious rooms for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged kids throughout the facility. A state-of-the-art indoor play area, as well as three large outdoor play areas are also featured at this facility.
Valley Preschool is on North Granby Road, just north of Granby Center. The school shares a building with the First Congregational Church in Granby and serves children ages 3 and 4.
Since opening its doors in 1930, Mooreland Hill School, an independent private day school, has taught students from all over the state in Kindergarten through Grade 9. The Mooreland facility includes a gymnasium, performing arts center and multiple playing fields, including soccer, baseball and softball.
Wee Care offers offers preschool and nursery school care. The center and has been in Manchester since 1977. The daycare, housed in a one-story brick building, has three fenced-in outside play areas. It offers pick-up and drop-off services and has capacity for up to 55 children.
Located in the Avon Congregational Church, Avon Nursery School offers a preschool education for children ages three to five. The school follows the State of Connecticut's Frameworks for Preschool Education and elements from The Creative Curriculum.
Alphabet Academy offers a preschool and pre-kindergarten program that focuses on cognitive, social, emotional, speech, language and motor development. Six teachers lead activities in areas such as mathematics, music, art, drama and dance. Alphabet Academy also teaches children healthy nutritional habits and, through "Oudoor classrooms," promotes physical fitness while fostering an appreciation of nature and the environment. Summer camp programs are offered that include theme days at the center as well as field trips.
Little Folks was the first daycare to set up shop in the Farmington Valley when it opened in 1982. Today the facility is considered a daycare, pre-school and nursery school. The children range in age from 6 weeks to 12 years and are looked after by a staff of 12.
The school was established about 1990 and a year-round, full-day program was started in 2009. Its capacity is 39 children. The campus includes a playground on 8.5 acres.
The school's philosophy comes from the Bible verses in the book of Ephesians 3:14-19.

Located just outside of Granby center on West Granby Road, Creative Learning Preschool & Childcare Center, Inc., provides services for children six weeks - 12 years old. It was founded under its current structure and location in 1979.
The Creative Learning Preschool & Childcare Center, Inc., was once The YWCA Creative Learning Preschool and before that they were the YWCA Tiny Tots program which was originally established in 1969. Barbara Swanson is the founder and former owner of the preschool and childcare center and she has been with them from the start. Her son, Jeff Swanson is the current owner.
