The Minnesota Golf Association was founded in 1901. Soon after it was founded, the MGA introduced the Amateur Championship, which is one of the longest running sports events in Minnesota. The official publication of the Minnesota Golf Association is Minnesota Golfer magazine. Golfers can join the Minnesota Golf Association through a participating club. Information regarding courses and tournaments is available on the MGA website.
Braemar Golf Dome is an indoor practice range located near the Braemar Golf Course. It is the largest and longest-hitting golf dome in the Twin Cities area. Operated by the City of Edina, the dome is available to city residents and non-residents alike from November through mid-April. Golfers can practice their driving and putting or take lessons from one of the Braemar golf pros.
