The Marbridge Foundation, founded in 1953, provides residential services and rehabilitation programs to patients suffering from mental disorders and physical disabilities. The center provides educational programs, recreational and social activities and vocational training to residents. It offers a variety of services, such as employment support, skill development classes, transportation facilities and medical assistance. The amenities offered by the center include campus chapel, recreation rooms, dining areas, an art studio, computer laboratories, gymnasiums, swimming pool, softball fields, an outdoor amphitheater, game preserve, dining and activities pavilion, horse stables, livestock barn and walking trails. It also has Marbridge Garden Center spread over an area of more than 50,000 square feet. The Marbridge Foundation is approved by the Texas Rehabilitation Commission and has a more than 300-acre campus located in Manchaca, Texas.

The Los Altos Community Foundation was formed in 1991 to the promote community-building of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.  

Since then, it has been a strong force behind many of the city's institutions, including the Bus Barn Theater, Los Altos History Museum, Leadership Education and Advancement Program and the Community Scholars program for Mountain View Los Altos students who are the first in the family to attend college.

As a community foundation, it makes grants that broadly strengthen the community and it provides fund management for others. It operates four grant programs and supports its own programs, for students development, teaching philanthropy and providing mediation. Mindful of the changing demographics, it has the Aging in Place committee, which researches and disseminates information on services that may allow Los Altans to stay in their homes longer.

It has also played a leading role in convening and facilitating discussions of community-wide interest, such as the closing of Bullis School and issues of mutual interest between Mountain View and Los Altos.

It owns and operates out of the Richard Neutra House, where the 28-member board of directors meet on the third Wednesday of the month, at 181 Hillview Avenue, as well as the Los Altos Community House.

Since 1979 the Dance of the Deer Foundation has been organizing life-changing spiritual retreats around the globe, providing people opportunities to connect with their true nature through the ancient practices of Huichol Shamanism. Renowned shaman and healer Brant Secunda is the founder and visionary leader of the organization. Originally born in New York, Brant left the big city the day after his 18th birthday to journey to the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico where he eventually found the Huichol tribe and was adopted by the revered shaman and elder Don José Matsuwa. Brant was put through an arduous 12-year apprenticeship through which Don José taught him the way of the shaman. After completing his training in Mexico, Brant was told by his teacher to share the wisdom and teachings he had gained with people in the modern world. He has been traveling the globe ever since and has touched the hearts of thousands through his teachings, ceremonies, pilgrimages, retreats, and seminars. All the work of Brant Secunda and the Dance of the Deer Foundation not only helps inspire and empower those in the modern world but also helps to provide sustainable economic and cultural support for the Huichol tribe. Brant has also founded the Huichol Foundation, Shaman Organic Chocolates, and Fit Soul Fit Body, Inc., all of which aid in the support of the indigenous Huichol people. Operational for more than 80 years, United Way of the Capital Region is a fundraising organization that works year-round to reduce homelessness in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties in Pennsylvania.
