Lighthouse Dairy Mart is a unique convenience store. Located at the entrance to the Wantagh State Parkway, it serves both local and tourist traffic at their quaint drive-through. A small red lighthouse marks the entrance, and traffic can pull in on the left or right of the store for window service. Lighthouse offers the same items as a walk-in convenience store: Hot and cold drinks, ice, cigarettes, candy, magazines, newspapers and deli meat; but whatever the weather, you never have to leave the driver's seat.
Mecox Bay Dairy is a farm of Jersey cows that produce artisanal cheeses. It is located on the eastern end of Long Island, and began operations in 2003. The farm's cheeses include Shawondasee, Mecox Sunrise, Atlantic Mist, Sigit and Cheddar. Retailers of the farm's cheeses include Eataly, Fairview Farm Stand and North Sea Farms.
