Boys and Girls Country was established in 1971 as a nonprofit charitable home. It works to change the lives of children who are from families in crisis by nurturing them in a Christian environment and raising them to become self-sustaining and contributing adults. It has a capacity to serve more than 50 boys and over 30 girls, between the ages of 5 and 18. The organization provides a family-like Christian atmosphere where children have the opportunity to grow safe and secure and develop to their potential. Boys and Girls Country s residents also participate in outside activities, such as church, band, sports and summer camps. It focuses on education and conducts various annual fundraising activities.
