Located off of Wickford Harbor, this tranquil beach has become a family favorite in North Kingstown. The beach's small waves and playground are family-friendly. Though the beach is owned and operated by the town, lifeguard service are provided daily during the summer by the West Bay Family YMCA from 9am to 5pm. $10 will get you a beach pass for the season if you're a North Kingstown resident. Shady Lea Mill is a colony of artist and artisans in North Kingstown. Sculpturers, photographers and potters comprise this collective. In addition, there are fine artists and metal smiths.

Founded by Rowland Hazard and his wife Margaret Anna Rood in 1857, the Peace Dale Congregational Church has grown with the village itself to an immense, open and diverse congregation.
The church's cornerstone was laid in 1870, and is listed in the National Register of Historic places. The building itself is a marvel of architecture with modern flair in its supporting rectory and offices.
Child care is available during services, and a variety of programs are available for members including middle school and high school youth group, Bible study, contemporary and traditional choirs, a bell choir, a youth chime choir and a cherub choir for young children.

The walls of this gallery are filled with artwork from three artists at any given time, changing every three weeks. James L. Maher Center is a nonprofit agency that employs nearly 300 people from Middletown and the surrounding communities who have physical and developmental disabilities. A collection of small businesses, Maher Industries was established to generate income to help offset the costs of our educational and residential programs for its employees. Quidnick Baptist Church, located within the Coventry village of Quidnick, is located on Fairview Avenue, where passing motorists have long been treated to inspirational and sometimes quirky religious missives on the church signboard facing the street.
The church has an active membership, including a men's religious study group, a women's religious study group and, as reported in the Good News Today, a ministry providing support for men released from prison. The church runs several youth programs, including a Bible study, Habitat for Humanity, basketball and Sunday school.
The church is led by Pastor Joe Campbell, who has been with the parish for 15 years.
Green Hill Park, located off Green Hill Beach Road in South Kingstown, is a town recreational facility hosting 2.5 acres of meticulously maintained land, picnic and play facilities.
At the park you will find playgrounds, swings, full tennis courts, full and practice basketball courts, as well as a volleyball pit. Fields and open areas abound for football, soccer and other sporting activities.
Plenty of benches are available for relaxing and taking in the surroundings. The picnic area has several grills and tables available for use. Reservation of the area and rental is made through the Town Parks & Recreation department. Please book at least 48 hours in advance.
For walkers, a short 1/4 acre loop of walking trail winds its way through the facilities.
Restroom facilities are available seven days a week.
Dogs are allowed on leash and waste removal is required.
No alcohol is allowed at the facility.
At the Pet Refuge, there's one rule: no cat gets left behind. This 100 percent no-kill animal shelter goes the extra mile to make sure their kitties are feeling in tip-top shape, from treating feline leukemia to spaying/neutering all cats to simply giving abandoned kitty some much deserved love and attention. The Pet Refuge, operated by the North Kingstown- Exeter Animal Protection League (NKEAPL), is supported by three part-time staffers and a bevy of volunteers.

American Red Cross of Middletown responds to every disaster, grants stipends for people burned out of their apartments and gives victims warm and dry clothes and a place to stay. It responds all over RI and as far as Seekonk. It sets up emergency shelters in times of need and is always looking for volunteers. It also works with veterans with ptsd, arranges holiday parties, is the leading trainer for cpr and water safety, teaches safe babysitting and elder care and enables emergency communication for military families overseas.
Located on Post Road, this facility serves as the town's chamber of commerce and tourist center. As the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, it provides benefits and services to members and economic development services to the town, among other services. As the official tourist center for the town, it supplies information on local and statewide attractions and events, as well as maps, brochures and guides. It also serves as a drop-off for the North Kingstown food pantry.
Led by Reverend Bertrand L. Theroux, St. Francis de Sales has been in North Kingstown since 1960. This is one of two Catholic churches in town. Construction began on a new facility for the church in 2010 with an expected completion in 2011.
The expanse that is the George B. Parker Woodland Wildlife Refuge preserves a part of Rhode Island's flora, fauna and history. Hikers and wildlife enthusiasts can bask in this refuge's forest and fields or marvel at the sporadic cairn, an archaic stone landmark. Guests also can explore an 18th century house and barn. The barn is the park's nature center. This park does not allow alcoholic beverages, biking, camping, fishing, geocaching, horseback riding, hunting, letterboxing, littering, pets, picnicking or sample collection of any kind.
