South Jamesport Beach is a well-maintained beach area located off of Peconic Bay Blvd. in Riverhead. In addtion to 3,000 sqaure feet of waterfront, it has a snack bar, restrooms, playground, picnic tables, grills, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball nets, and a marina on-site. This beach features special wheelchairs that allow visitors that need them to use the beach. Parking is by permit only.

For private events, a facility use permit application must be filed with the Riverhead Town Clerk's office. This beach also has a Piping Plover Nesting area, which is off limits to the public, through June.

The Bayside chapter of an international network of Catholic not-for-profit social clubs, Knights of Columbus meets every first Thursday of the month at 8:30pm. Its facade prominently marks its founding date as 1956. Marked by old fashioned patriotism, American flags flank both sides of the building. The facility is open for monthly meetings and bookings of anniversaries, birthday parties and other event rentals.
