Influenced by Christ, Lyngblomsten provides a ministry of compassionate care and innovative services to older adults in order to preserve and enhance their quality of life. From our beginnings in 1906 as a Christian home for the elderly to a flourishing nonprofit organization with continuum-of-care options for older adults, Lyngblomsten remains true to its Christian mission of compassionate care and innovative services for older adults. Today, Lyngblomsten offers independent housing with services, short-term rehabilitative care and long-term healthcare, along with a variety of outreach programs for seniors living in their homes or apartments. A myriad of opportunities to volunteer, to donate, and to serve in an advisory capacity await those who wish to get involved with Christian ministry to seniors. The Lyngblomsten Care Center provides 24-hour skilled nursing care and supportive services through short-term rehabilitative care and long-term care. Our staff are dedicated to preserving dignity and as much independence and decision-making as possible for residents who need a high level of assistance. Today’s world faces many terrible problems. Human trafficking and child exploitation are a harsh reality for some people. In order to address this growing problem, The GOD’S CHILD Project was founded in 1991. This nonprofit organization is a humanitarian aid organization dedicated to “breaking the chains of poverty through education and formation.” The organization has been providing humanitarian aid in over 12 programs in five countries across the world. For 5,000 poverty-stricken children, including those abandoned or orphaned, The GOD’S CHILD Project provides care and education. The project also provides health and community-based services for about 8,700 widowed, abandoned, and single mothers and their children. Serving in Guatemala, El Salvador, Malawi, and India, The GOD’S CHILD Project helps provide child sponsorship for these regions in which child poverty is a growing issue.
