The Woodbury Animal Humane Society is located just off Woodbury Drive on Hudson Road. People can adopt dogs and cats as well as small mammals such as rabbits and rats. Birds are also available for adoption. The building was also an animal shelter before the Humane Society took over.
St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is the largest Episcopal church in Minnesota. There are four worship services on Sundays ranging from contemplative to contemporary. St. Stephen's Episcopal Church has a nursery that is available on Sundays from 7:45am until 12:30pm as well as Wednesdays from 6:20pm to 9pm and Thursdays from 9:30am to 11:15am during church activities. Parking for the church is available in the lots of Wooddale and Utley Parks as well as along Wooddale Avenue.
Golden Valley Lutheran Church can be found at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Turners Crossroad. Since 1946, the majestic church has been opening its doors to the community with a goal of "touching lives with Jesus' love." Worship occurs every Sunday, but when services are not taking place, the church is used as a center for early learning and also serves as a meeting place for children and family ministry programs. Members of the congregation often go out into the community to perform service projects.
Mary Mother of The Church is a Roman Catholic community that continues the work of Christ. They strive to create a welcoming, hospitable community that values each and every member of their community. This Church is located on Cliff Road East just west of Highway 77/Cedar Avenue.
This parish was organized in the late 1970s to serve the fast-growing suburban area. It held its first services in 1981 in several rented spaces. The first church opened in 1984 to serve a congreagation of more than 1,000 households. in 1989 the parish completed an expansion adding about 9,000 square feet of worship, office and multi-use space.
