The University Area Community Development Corporation is a charitable organization that was founded with the intention of providing an outlet for citizens living in a location with a high risk of financial or social danger. The organization offers programs related to social services, crime prevention and health. It also works toward providing low-income housing through partnerships with local businesses.
Located on Beneva Road in the Gulf Gate area, St. Andrew celebrates diversity, united in a common passion of the journey of faith. It believes in sharing the Gospel in action and outreach within the community. To this end, St Andrew is home to 12-step meetings each week and actively supports the All Faiths Food Bank.
Belcher Bingo South is open 365 days a year, from 2pm until the last game of the night ends. The building is large and tidy and accomodates both smokers and non-smokers. In addition to various bingo games with large nightly payouts, customers can also enjoy snacks, meals and drinks from the snack bar.
Country Place Park, located at 15728 County Lake Dr. in the Greater Northdale community, offers amenities from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.
At Country Place Park, all the playground equipment is maintained and in excellent working order. Tennis courts and pavillions are available for public use.
Covenant Christian Church was founded in the 1970s, at its current location on Indiana Avenue. Since then, its congregation has grown to include over 75 families from the community. Its services are presided over by Pastor Bob Banariello, who preaches a non-denominational interpretation of the Bible. The church building features several amenities, including a coffee house and basketball court for congregation members.
The J.F. Swartsel Masonic Lodge's meetings are held twice a month, on either the first and third Mondays or the first and third Thursdays of the month. The Lodge holds fundraisers, special recognition ceremonies and meetings for members.
