Nestled in the corner of a five-acre campus, Saint Catherine of Siena School was built in 1965 and by 1968, the school encompassed 250 students from grades kindergarten through the eighth grade. It continues to provide a traditional Catholic orientation, and also offers modern features in its classrooms, including smart boards, laptops and a computer network. In addition, a variety of sports and club activities are offered, from basketball to drama. Sister Anne Marie is the principal.

Founded more than 30 years ago, Westport's Academy of Dance offers dance instruction in ballet, jazz, tap, pointe and modern dance. The facility includes a large, airy dance studio on the upper floor and two smaller downstairs studios. The studio is managed by Nancy Zindell, a former Academy of Dance student. Zindell has operated the studio since 2006.
Registration and class level is based on experience. Tuition fee is $650 for one class per week. The academy's annual student performance of The Nutcracker has become a holiday tradition in the Westport community.
