Part of the Massachusetts Country Club group, Woburn Country Club maintains an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse. A function room called The Fairways and a 100-seat restaurant, The Green's Grille and Pub, are on-site too. The country club is available for weddings, social and business events and golf package outings. If you are interested in joining, no appointment is necessary, just stop by during normal business hours.
This Irish American Club is right on Main Street and has its own free lot. This club brings together Woburn's deep-rooted Irish community in a shared space, behind its green, orange and white walls. This club puts together lots of local events like 5-kilometer walk-a-thons and phone-a-thons benefiting various charitable organizations. Call for an up- to-date schedule of events or membership information.
The Portuguese American Recreation Club is located in a large house on Main Street. It is a private club that fosters community for Woburn's growing Portuguese and Brazilian citizens. It also rents space to local groups not associated with the club.
The Woburn Moose Lodge is a branch of the Loyal Order of Moose. The organization has 2,000 lodges based around the world. The local lodge offers a wide range of services and opportunities for the community including holiday events, hall rentals and sporting events.
The lodge puts on special Thanksgiving dinners and holds meetings, classes and special breakfasts. The hall can be rented for all types of occasions.
Fairways at Woburn Country Club is a restaurant and golf course located near I-95. It has a nine hole course and a pro shop open daily. In addition, the restaurant, Greene's Grille and Pub, serves lunch and dinner and hosts special events. Some of the functions that take place at this country club include weddings, receptions, showers and golf outings. The Main Dining Hall holds up to 200 people. The Country Club and golf course are open seven days a week and Greene's Grille is open five days a week. Memberships are available.
The George A. Campbell American Legion Post 101 is a meeting place for veterans. It hosts a meeting on the first Monday of every month and many other special events, including holiday celebrations and other fund-raising parties. The hall is available for rent.
The Woburn Elks Lodge #908 is located at 295 Washington St. and is available for function hall rentals.
The Elks meet every second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
Located in the large 400 Cummings Park tower, the Bridge Spot has lots of free parking. This facility is dedicated to teaching newcomers about the game of bridge and offers an environment conducive to any level of play. Under the leadership of Dean Panagopoulos, the Bridge Spot offers classes, special Bridge getaways and professional games.
