T he New Castle Sailing Club owns a fleet of sailboats that are moored in the Delaware River off Battery Park in New Castle, Delaware, from May to October. Cooperative ownership, an unusual arrangement for a yacht club, offers members the advantage of virtually unlimited opportunities to sail without the high costs and time-consuming work associated with individual boat ownership.
