Everyone from the outside wants to know, "What is a Mason?" So in Layman terms, "Freemasonry is humbling yourself before your fellow man and your deity. It's a supportive brotherhood that assists you in becoming a better person." Mason men come from all walks of life for the betterment of their community. The Brandon Lodge #114 has served this community in many ways throughout the years, with humanitarian support, education, entertainment, consolation and patriotism amongst other things.
The Brandon Elks Lodge supports the community. It provides school supplies for children, food donations and awards scholarships. It holds fundraising events and gives the proceeds to veterans.
It also has a ladies' organization that supports many charities in the area. It gives scholarships yearly, sends children to the Florida Elks Camp and provides food gift certificates to families at the holidays.
