the 20th anniversary season of chamber orchestra concerts the Centre Region PCO is the Centre Regions professional chamber orchestra. Founded in 1991 the orchestra has performed both rare and well-known music by the greatest composers, from the Baroque period to the present day. Maestro Douglas Meyer, the orchestras founding conductor, serves as Conductor and Music Director and the ensembles performers include members of Penn States School of Music Faculty along with professionals and pre-professional students from the University. The orchestra performs regularly in State College and has carried its concerts to Philipsburg, St Marys and to the Bedford Summer Music Festival. Heres what were about: In addition to its regular series of concerts PCO provides educational services to area elementary schools through performances and demonstrations by members of the orchestra.
