Fraternal Order of Eagles is a non-profit organization whose motto is "People Helping People"--and they do. They conduct fund-raisers for eight major charities, including kidney, heart, diabetes, cancer and spinal cord injury funds, a children's fund, a memorial foundation and the Golden Eagle Fund. This impressive organization has had some amazing members, including Bob Hope, John F. Kennedy, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tony Stewart; even Theodore R. Roosevelt was a member.
This is an employment agency that helps people who are 55 or older find a job. For employers, the organization offers a trial employment option through the "On the Job Experience" program. AARP will pay the worker's wages and workers compensation for around two weeks. The office provides resources like computers, fax machine and headhunters to help those looking for work find it. AARP Foundation provides all of this for free.
Old Palm Harbor Main Street is a non-profit organization that manages the Reba Sutton White Chapel and Harbor Hall. The Reba Sutton White chapel is not affiliated with any specific religion at this time. It was a Methodist church when it was built in 1924.
