The Women's Recovery Association is a network of three homes for women recovering from substance abuse. The association was founded in 1964 by Sister Anna Marie Towers who was meeting many alcoholic women while teaching in Redwood City. The center teaches skills such as relapse prevention and parenting. The center is funded through donations from individuals, San Mateo County and private foundations.
