Yadkin County Emergency Medical Service maintains an emergency management division. It provides planning and compiling services for hazardous materials and natural and man-made disasters and also acts as a liaison during the times of crisis. The service employs more than 70 people and is a part of Yadkin County, which operates administration, development, health, soil and water departments.
