EPIC s Youth Services offers a variety of programs for youths between the ages of 12 and 17. Its programming areas include mentoring, after-school activities, emergency shelters, residential behavior treatment and therapeutic foster care. The program serves more than 900 youths throughout the Pacific Northwest. It features a foster care program that is provided by foster parents who are trained in therapeutic issues and behavior management techniques. EPIC s Youth Services is a part of the EPIC, which is also known as Enterprise for Progress in the Community. EPIC is one of the largest providers of early childhood education programs in the United States. The agency employs more than 400 people and serves over 1,800 preschool children. Its Head Start programs provide bus transportation for children to and from program centers, as well as to parent events and field trips. Enterprise for Progress in the Community is located in Yakima, Wash.
