El Paso / Texas / United States
The gym was formally Toland Gymnastics, owned by a couple who were former gymnasts. When the family was transferred out of state, we saw a great opportunity to expand the existing business and be a part of enriching the lives of children with such an amazing sport. Gymnastics Elite etc. was then born in 2000 and through the years we have become known as just Elite.Elite began with a small 5, 000 square foot facility in March of 2000, with only 100 students and a handful of coaches ; by January 2003 we had opened our west side facility which was under 3000 square feet. Today, both locations have exploded to almost 25, 000 square feet combined, over 1, 000 happy students and more than 30 employees. It has been a trying journey in business but the children make it well worth the time and effort. We plan to keep growing with El Paso and give our students skills that they can apply with other sports and use through out their lives. We offer beginning, intermediate and advanced gymnastics and tumbling classes to children 18 months old to 18 years old as well as our girls Junior Olympics team whom compete through out our region. We also have a Jr. All Star Cheer Squad who travel and compete as well. For more information, check out our Jr. Olympics and Jr. All Star Cheer pages.Elites coaches are required to be USA-Gymnastics Safety Certified and CPR/First Aid Certified but many of our instructors hold additional industry certifications and credentials. Coaches are trained weekly on safety, different teaching techniques and skill progressions at their individual facilities and once a month as an entire group.
