Founded in 1964, Roxbury Multi-Service Center provides a wide variety of in-house, community outreach and advocacy services for residents of the Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan areas in Boston. It offers full line of services that include adolescent and family support programs, sexual assault and violence prevention and intervention, emergency assistance, homeless shelter, mental health care, and counseling and education services. The center also organizes various academic, educational, economic, cultural and social activities. In addition, Roxbury Multi-Service Center provides education on a variety of issues impacting the community, such as homelessness, socio-economic conditions, employment situations, health concerns, community development, and family unity and counseling needs. The center is located in Dorchester, Mass.
