YMCA SportsWorld offers cheerleading, child care, gymnastics, camping and roller skating programs. Its Extreme Heat All-Star Cheerleading is a competitive program that serves young athletes in kindergarten through grade 12 throughout Treasure Coast, Fla. It offers child care services through the Teddy Bear Academy, which is open year-round and includes swimming lessons, field trips and music classes. The academy s babysitting training program includes instruction related to infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification, safety presentation, basic cooking skills, art and craft making, diapering, feeding and shaken baby syndrome. Its after-school care program provides supervised activities for the development of physical, social and intellectual skills of children in pre-kindergarten through grade five. YMCA SportsWorld is located in Stuart, Fla., and is a branch of the YMCA of the Treasure Coast, which has been operational for more than 45 years.
