In 1980, Camp Swift Youth Foundation was founded as a social action outreach for Jewish teens in the Southwest. Located at Scottsdale, Ariz., the group organizes year-round mentoring programs and activities for economically disadvantaged children that range from canoeing to overnights, and serious talks about the opportunities life holds for kids who stay in school and remain drug free.
