New Mexico Water Service Company (New Mexico Water) is a subsidiary of the California Water Service Group. In 2002, it was formed with the acquisition of the Rio Grande Utility Corporation. New Mexico Water Service Company (New Mexico Water) deals with approximately 7,800 water and wastewater customers in the Belen, Los Lunas and Elephant Butte areas in New Mexico. The company accounts for approximately two percent of its total customers and approximately one percent of its total consolidated operating revenue. California Water Service Group is the holding company that manages production, purchase, storage, treatment, testing, distribution and the sale of water for domestic, industrial, public, fire protection and irrigation uses.
