The Kensington Train Station is a full-service railroad passenger station based on Howard Avenue, and is owned and operated by CSX Transportation. The station serves MARC (Maryland Area Rail Commuter) commuter trains and also offers an Amtrak self-service kiosk. The station also has 45 free parking spots and connections to bus lines including Metrobus L7 and L8, as well as Ride-ON lines 4, 5, 6, 7, 33 and 34.
More than 1,000 local residents begin their weekdays here at the Odenton Rail Station when they hop on the MARC Penn Line to commute into Washington, D.C. or Baltimore. The Odenton station features an indoor waiting room, ticket counter and restrooms. There is also a small museum and coffee shop adjacent to the station that is open on weekday mornings. Parking lots next to the station usually fill up early during the week but there is an overflow lot within walking distance to the station. There is no charge for parking. Passengers may purchase single tickets as well as weekly and monthly passes at the station.
