Huntington Learning Center is a national network of tutoring and college preparation centers founded in 1977. In Ankeny since 2007, Huntington provides math, phonics and reading programs for students from pre-kindergarten to adult, though it is not uncommon for area college students to sometimes utilize Huntington's staff of professional tutors. Huntington also provides ACT, SAT and PSAT prep classes.
Learning Rx, aka the Ankeny Brain Training Center, is a part of a national chain of treatment centers for childhood ADD/ADHD. Featuring one-on-one training with educational and therapeutic professionals, Learning Rx seeks to improve the concentration, cognitive skills, memory and study habits of students suffering from ADD. Learning Rx also has programs for people suffering from traumatic brain injury and senior adults with memory and cognition issues.
Learning Rx is located in the First National Bank building on the second floor.
