The Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, also known as SUAREC, conducts a variety of basic and applied research activities, as well as disseminates information to the citizens of the state of Louisiana. Established in 2001, it focuses on the scientific, technological, social, economic and cultural needs of individuals.
