Minnesota Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit organization with the goal of promoting soccer among Minnesota youth. It provides an environment that nurtures education, self-esteem and teamwork. A variety of play levels are available ranging from local recreation to competition on a national stage. The association helps coordinate programs across the state impacting the lives of 75,000 youths each season.

North Tartan Girls Basketball is a local girls basketball program. Established in 1971, the North Tartan Girls Basketball Booster Club teaches basketball skills to student-athletes, 350 of which have received college scholarships. This grassroots Nike club is one of only 21 of its kind in the country. North Tartan's services include tournaments, membership and scholarships.

Laird Stadium acts as home base for Carleton College's football team, as well as its men's and women's track and field squads. While parking around the field is sparse, Laird can hold up to 7,500 people—one of the largest in all of Division III sports. The eight-lane track that surrounds the playing field is open to Carleton students who wish to use it for running.
