Founded in 1979, North Texas Youth Connection, formerly known as Grayson County Juvenile Alternatives, is a private, nonprofit organization that provides shelter services for homeless and abused youths between the ages of 10 and 17. It additionally offers free counseling for youth and their families. The organization s outreach and prevention services include life skills groups at community locations, such as youth clubs, schools and community centers. Its Project Safe Place program involves a network of businesses, public places and volunteers in reaching out to youths in crisis.
