Established in 1968, J Bar J Youth Services is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs serving at-risk youths and their families. The organization s J Bar J Boys Ranch is a residential facility for young male offenders of 13 to 18 years. It has a learning center that provides learning opportunities to enhance the positive behavioral and academic skills of students. It also has an all -girls boarding school, The Academy at Sisters, which offers classes in mathematics, science, English, social studies and physical education. The organization s youth and family center provides a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, family mediation and case management. It additionally offers Oregon High Desert Classics Horse Show that is a fundraiser for corporations to support ongoing youth services.
