The Chester County Sheriff is located in the courthouse. He is responsible for law enforcement throughout the county. The department works with both municipal law enforcement agencies as well as state and federal authorities on all levels of crime. The Chester County Sheriff is headquartered in the Chester County Justice Center and is run by Carolyn "Bunny" Welsh.
The primary mission of the Morris County Park Police is to provide police services to visitors using county park facilities. Morris County administers over 18,000 acres of parkland, the largest county park system in New Jersey. The Park Police department also enforces the law throughout Morris County and provides assistance and specialized services to other agencies. The department includes mounted, bicycle, ATV, motorcycle and patrol units, and a detective bureau.
The Prince William County Sheriff's office is among the first of its kind in Virginia to receive accredidation through the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards. Glendell Hill is Sheriff and the office is located at the City Judicial Center in Manassas. The Sheriff's office has been serving the community since 1931, making it the oldest government agency in the county.
