The Wilberforce School's method of teaching is based on the Latin word "trivium" Trivium means three prongs of insight, which is how its educational practice is derived. First is grammar, which is taught through drills and repetitiveness inclusive of scripture, poetry and hymns. Second is logic, which is taught to middle school-aged children and includes the introduction of facts. Last is rhetoric, where upper-grade students learn grammar, logic, speech, writing and debate. There also are studies of classical art, literature and history, and Latin. Children range in age from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It also offers after-school programs and day care.
