Situated on 9 acres of donated fields and meadows, Trinity Lutheran is a small private school. The Hinsdale Community Preschool provides a variety of programs to children ages two-and-a-half to five years. Located in the Hinsdale Community House, the preschool boasts a staff of highly qualified teachers who together teach with their students' parents in a parent cooperative. This allows parents to remain active in the classroom and get to know their children's curriculum firsthand. Hinsdale Community Preschool offers Parent and Me classes for younger students, as well as 3 and 4-year-old preschool.
Concordia Place is a non-profit organization in Chicago's North Center, formed in partnership with Concordia Lutheran Church. Its services include early child care, after-school enrichment programs, summer camps and other recreational activities for children, teenagers and adults. Programs include an early learning program and preschool program. Teenagers can participate in a number of after-school programs, including Emerging Leaders, Sprouting Initiative and Recycling and Composting.
Rev. Robert P. Heinz currently presides over St. Norbert parish, which includes more than 2,100 families. The church began in 1899 as a mission in Techny, then a rural outpost of Chicago, and was relocated to Northbrook fifty years later. St. Norbert offers masses on Sundays at 7:30am, 9:30am, 11:30am and 5:30pm, as well as daily.
