Stowers Elementary School is a Magnet School for International Studies. It is also a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Organization with the idea to have students represent different cultures from around the world and becoming lifelong learners and international citizens.

Sonshine Preschool is part of the Crossroads Multinational Church of the Nazarene and offers full-time and half-day programs to children ages two to five. The ABC Adult School at Cabrillo Lane is part of the ABC Unified School District and offers classes for persons 18 years of age or older. Preference is given to continuing students and residents of the district providing they register during the priority pre-registration period of each semester. High School students can attend classes if space is available and all Education Code requirements are met.
Courses include career and technical education, ESL, citizenship and distance learning, visual and performing arts, sewing, food preparation, music, dance, physical fitness, basic education and parent education.

Calvary Cross Chapel Preschool has been serving the Cerritos community since August of 1974. Its non-denominational program offers preschool classes to children aged 2 years, 9 months to five years. It also offers extended day care for children grades K - 6 who are currently attending neighboring Burbank, Juarez and Niemas Elementary Schools. The facility houses a spacious playground and has separate classrooms for each age group.
