Canterbury School, founded in 1977, is an independent, coeducational day school, offering college-preparatory education to students in early childhood through grade 12. The school s curriculum includes mathematics, English, language arts, French, Latin, Japanese, Spanish, science and technology, social studies, computer science, American history, religious studies, fine arts, music, and physical education. It also offers advanced placement courses in various subjects. The school offers classes in band, choir, theater, orchestra, photography and studio arts. It has athletic teams for volleyball, soccer, cross-country, golf, basketball, swimming, cheerleading, tennis, softball and baseball. The school is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States, and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.
