Camp Alta Mons, located in scenic southwest Virginia, is a ministry of the Roanoke District of the United Methodist Church. The 850-acre mountain and valley historic site was formerly a healing springs retreat known as Crockett Springs. Alta Mons is now a modern camp and retreat center offering a wide variety of programs and year round facility options. We have accommodations for 200+ in the summer and 85+ in the winter. We can provide space for your groups retreat, or let us do everything from the group/teambuilding to the food. Our Summer camp is for rising first through twelfth graders and offers a small group ( 10-14 campers and two counselors ), Christian, outdoor camping experience.
