The Vilna Shul synagogue was built by Lithuanian immigrants in 1919. The building now houses a museum focusing on Jewish culture in Boston. No longer an operational synagogue, the Vilna Shul still holds prayer services one Friday each month and during holidays. The Vilna Shul is supported by private donations and is managed by a team of volunteers and two employees.
The Christian Science Reading Room in Back Bay is open to all, from residents to tourists. It provides visitors with quiet, comfortable reading and computer stations and sells inspirational and religious reading, such as books, magazines, music and periodicals. A listening station, multimedia station and reference section are available on the premises. Weekly Bible study sessions, readings, discussion groups and book fairs are held regularly. This reading room is open every day of the week.
Atwater Christian Bookstore is one of the only of its kind in the Los Angeles area. In addition to Christian books, it also provides religious-themed gifts: Bibles, videos, cards, calendars, prayer beads and medallions.
