Founded in 1962, Vail Mountain School offers a variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular programs and activities. Its parent-teacher association is active in fundraising events and library volunteerism and also organizes various activities and programs for parents, teachers and students. The school s curriculum includes ethics seminars, fine arts classes, community service and athletics. Its sporting activities include soccer, golf, volleyball, tennis and basketball. The school s capital campaign raises funds for the construction of a new campus and to create an endowment. Located in Vail, Colo., it has a library that offers a variety of reference materials, encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases and newspapers. In addition, the school provides after-school tutoring and coaching sessions.
